Startup launches that takes the sitting out of studying with flashcards designed for movement.



Today, Pittsburgh-based startup RunGRE (http://rungre.com), launched the first line of memory flashcards designed to be used during exercise. Growing concerns about the harmful effects on health from long hours of sitting, combined with evidence showing the powerful effects of cardiovascular exercise on memory retention, make RunGRE’s offering unique and timely.

“We didn’t evolve to sit for eight hours a day”, said Lesky. “Professionals and students alike are sitting for longer and longer hours leading to a bevy of health concerns. Research clearly indicates that memory and cognitive function is enhanced by physical activity; its time, education and fitness were  combined to work with our biology, instead of against it”.
