San Jose Boot Camp Company Offers Free Community Workout



“We are not charging admission for this event, although we will happily accept donations of any amount, which will go directly to Community United San José” (www.communityunitedsj.org), said Becky Williamson, President of lifeSport Fitness (http://www.lifesportfitness.net/).  “I will also be making a personal donation of $5 per person for any participant that attends the workout who has never done a boot camp workout with us before.  This is our way of encouraging people to spread the word about the importance of exercise in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.  We want to get people off the couch!”

Community United is a non-profit organization committed to creating opportunity for young people ages 6-17 by increasing their awareness of the possibilities to lead happier, more creative and productive lives.  Community United currently services 60-70 kids a day at two youth centers in San Jose. A majority of these kids are “at-risk” youth identified as likely to fall into gangs and drug use unless there is some kind of successful intervention. Community United provides a safe place for the kids to go after school where they can get help with their homework, participate in sports and recreation activities and eat a healthy snack.


LifeSport Fitness welcomes people of all ages and fitness levels to participate in this event.  This free community workout will take place on Saturday, March 16th from 9:30-10:20 am at The Harker School auditorium (3800 Blackford Ave., San Jose  CA   95117). How it works: Up to four days a week in one of the prescribed number of reps for each exercise rests in 30 to 45 seconds between moves. When you have finished the entire circuit, repeat two times (three times in total). Body contouring and preferably make the resistance band workout for the whole body workout than in the "off" days.


You Will Need: Resistance band handles and a sturdy anchor point (the door knob or the sofa works).


Reps: As much as possible in 60 seconds, the anchor of the band away from the farm stand, since the anchor safely and handles with the elbows bent of the parties. Step right foot forward and extend the left arm out in front of the chest (as if punching forward), palms down. To quickly change the legs to scissor jumping jack and punch the right hand forward. Continue taking turns as quickly as possible in a minute. To add more resistance standing farther away from the anchor point or reduce the intensity of standing closer to it.


Reps:As much as possible in 60 seconds to stand at the feet of the hip width, hold hands in the handles facing the anchor, to continue down the sides. Lower into a deep squat, press arms back by the hips, palms up. Quickly jump up, to get to the arms in front of chest. Land in the squat position, pressing the arms back. Repeat as many times as possible in one minute. More the resistance (and the challenge) standing farther from the anchor, or reduce the intensity of standing closer to it.


Reps: As much as possible within 60 seconds, the width of the legs of the Stand facing the anchor point of the hip, knees slightly bent, holding the handles on the sides of the extension arms. Engage abs and the second is a circle, the left hand from front to back (as if doing the backstroke), in which case the torso around the nature of the movement. Repeat on the other side. Alternating sides, always as quickly as possible in a minute.


Reps: As much as possible within 60 seconds to stand for the band at the feet of the hip breadth (try the looping of the arches of the sneakers), on top of the steady stick handles with your elbows bent of the parties. Push your hips back and bend your knees to lower into a squat. As soon as you rise out of a squat, move the weight to the left foot and extend right leg out to the side, lifting the foot off the floor. Step on the right foot down into the squat position and repeat on the other side. Alternating legs always as quickly as possible in a minute. Drag to adjust the higher the Band more resistance, or to keep the arms smaller, less intensity.


Reps: As much as possible within 60 seconds to stand with feet together to hold on to both ends of the folded into a band. Expand the arms, shoulders, pulling the ends of the band so far apart from each other, drawing the band toward your chest and squeezing shoulder blades together on the sides. Quickly jump in front of the chest and bring your hands together, feet apart, shoulder-width apart (the arms at the shoulders). Play as quickly as possible in a minute.


Reps: the 30-second skip in each direction, in a straight line in the place of the band on the field and stand facing your legs together on the right side of the band so far. To quickly hop on top, fall your knees soft, and then immediately jump back and slightly to the left. Still, jump over and back, move down to the band, the swinging arms, of course, a zigzag pattern to move quickly back and forth for 30 seconds. Next, standing on the side of the band on the other end, jumping from side-to-side, moving back and forth up and down the length of the band 30 extra seconds.
