Strengthen Partnership with Soles4Souls Awareness Campaign

MILLBURN, New Jersey - Kindrunner.com is pleased to announce its partnership with Soles4Souls, Inc., a global not-for-profit institution dedicated to fighting the devastating impact and perpetuation of poverty, to participate in the Barefoot 4 Them event. On October 10, individuals across the globe will elect to forego wearing footwear for 24 hours to show their awareness and support for underprivileged people worldwide.

Anyone who fills out a registration form confirming their participation at soles4souls.org/barefoot4them will receive a printable card with a story of an individual in need of adequate footwear.  This personal touch allows for individuals to relay the specific story of someone impacted by the effects of poverty, driving attention to their needs.  Additionally, barefoot-goers are encouraged to submit a photo of their unshod feet on social media accompanied by the hash-tag #barefoot4them.

For every photo submitted of a barefoot person and uploaded with the hash-tag, Kindrunner.com will donate $1 toward the initiative.  Kindrunner Co-founder and President Michael Conforti notes, “We feel particularly strongly about this cause because it closely parallels our own mission of repurposing footwear and helping those who need it most.  When we learned about an opportunity to become involved with Soles4Souls, the decision was quite easy.”

Both Kindrunner and Soles4Souls are enthusiastic about moving forward with their partnership toward ameliorating the effects of poverty.  The two entities already join in a process where Kindrunner customers are encouraged to return old, worn footwear in exchange for a $10 Kindness Cash Rewards Credit on a future purchase.  The old shoes are given to Soles4Souls, who in turn distribute them to people in developing countries.

Buddy Teaster, Chief Executive Officer of Soles4Souls, comments, “We deeply appreciate this commitment by Kindrunner.com and its customers.  From our experience, we are certain that the social good campaign will result in inspiring personal stories from individuals who have witnessed transformation among their families and their communities.”
