Runtastic Transforms Smartphone Into World’s Best Cycling Computer

Today Runtastic (http://www.runtastic.com/), an innovative suite of apps, products and services that track and manage health and fitness data to motivate individuals to get in shape, stay healthy and improve overall fitness, announces the release of two new cycling apps. Launching for the first time on Android, and with new features on iOS, Runtastic Road Bike (http://www.runtastic.com/apps/android/roadbike/lite) and Mountain Bike (http://www.runtastic.com/apps/android/mountainbike/lite) apps transform users’ smartphones into the best cycling computers on the market.

“Whether you’re a leisure rider, amateur racer or professional cyclist, the Runtastic Road Bike and Mountain Bike apps incorporate all of the features you need to track your rides and improve your performance,” said Florian Gschwandtner, CEO of Runtastic.

Smartphones Become Cycling Computers

Runtastic Road Bike and Mountain Bike apps track critical performance metrics such as distance traveled, speed, elevation gain/loss, rate of climb, calories burned and pace. The apps are highly customizable, allowing users to configure personalized dashboards, detailed live mapping of each ride and cheering features. A new Route Search feature is also being launched to help users find or create new routes that can be saved in the app.

Fitness Site and Social Sharing

The new bike apps automatically upload statistics from each completed workout to users’ personal profiles on Runtastic.com, a social fitness site where users can view online training logs, get detailed data analysis and compare rides with others. Users can also share their progress via e-mail or by posting to social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, and Google+.

The Road Bike and Mountain Bike apps are new additions to Runtastic’s extensive portfolio of apps that help users meet their personal fitness goals. Whether you’re a climber, runner, gym rat or soccer mom, there is an app that can help you track, monitor and analyze your activities, including Runtastic (http://www.runtastic.com/en/apps/runtastic), Pedometer (http://www.runtastic.com/en/apps/pedometer), Heart Rate and Strength & Toning (http://www.runtastic.com/en/pumpit).

World's First Travel Beverage!

Previously you had to fly 24hrs in business or first class to Australia on Qantas to drink Balance Travel. Upon arrival in Australia you might also see Balance Travel at an Intercontinental or Four Seasons Hotel. Now Balance Travel will be available in the US via a new partnership with the Wyndham Hotel Group. Balance Travel is a unique refreshing beverage that contains US alpine spring water and Australian flower essences to help with the physical and emotional fatigue issues of traveling such as jet lag, dehydration and poor rest.

Balance Travel, created in 2007 in Sydney, Australia was the first of its kind to market and created the category of travel beverages. It is part of the Balance range of five varieties which also includes Mind, Relax, Refresh, and Digest.

Balance uses organic flowers that grow wild in extremely remote parts of Australia. The combination of flowers gives the different varieties their specific natural functions. The flowers are added to locally sourced spring water in Northern California and the Catskills, New York. The Balance range is refreshingly non-flavored with zero calories, sweeteners or preservatives. Just flowers and spring water. It is part of a growing movement in the beverage industry known as 'real' beverages.

Wyndham Hotel Group will be offering Balance Travel to their Gold Status members upon check in at select Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, Wyndham Garden and the Wyndham Grand Collection properties as a way of showing appreciation for their loyalty.

"Having an all natural, and non-flavored beverage that helps with travel fatigue is important to a growing number of premium travel destinations" said Hilary Scott, Sales Director at Balance. "There is an increasing demand from today's travelers for alternatives to sugary beverages. They want beverages that are healthy, real and relevant to them and addressing their situation at the time. Groups such as the Wyndham Hotel Group are leading the way."

Balance is expanding quickly in the travel industry. Balance Travel is now available at properties within the portfolios of Intercontinental Hotels Group, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Wyndham Hotel Group, and Morgan Hotels Group. In addition Balance Travel can be found in many other boutique and premium properties in Australia,
